Note: This page is an attempt to capture some thoughts on building DIYHIFI's 300b monoblock amps (Billie -> Ladyday+) and the Basie premap.
From DIY HIFI's Clearance page (2003-06-17)
1 pr original M500 kit (Billie). Includes OPT. PTX for 220/230V or 110/120V, choke, all hardware and parts necessary to build this kit. This is the original 'Billie' but with stainless steel chassis, has been built and disassembled so it is used and sold as is. A great deal a budget way to get into SET. $450USD/$394Euro/3510HK$ 1 Consonance T2 kit. This is the original Basie kit. Has been built and disassembled so it is used and sold as is but includes all the parts needed to build into a Basie. This is a vintage-style preamp with tube rectification, 12AU7 x 2 + 12AU7 cathode follower. Includes choke and PTX for 220/230 or 110/120V. $199USD/174Euro/$1552HK$
I'm not sure I care for the stainless steel chassis on the Billie's nor is it clear that it would match the Basie. However Jamestown Powder Coatings seem like a local option for doing small, specialized powder coatings to get a more unique and consistent finish.
Not sure this is a good idea or not, but looks very interesting...
