I purchased the following used speaker cables to go with my Decware Zen Amp. The extremely low price coupled with the length (which I need) and the intriguing braid made these too compelling to pass up. The person I bought these from mentioned that they were approximately 25 years old, "Nogami" cables - at the time a top end state of the art Japanese speaker cable. I have not heard of "Nogami" cables (but vaguely familiar with Mogami). Searching the Mogami site however has turned up nothing.
If you have any information about these speaker cables, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
2004-03-18: dfegrove, from diyaudio forum mentioned "That cable looks exactly the same as Monitor Audio speaker cable from the late Seventies." and "From an historic POV I think it was one of the first dedicated audio wires ever." I haven't been able to confirm this, but a useful lead nevertheless. (ref)
