2007-05-13: Bedroom #1 renovations continued. We've trimmed the room in reclaimed cedar. The room isn't getting any straighter, but overall looking far better than I think we could have thought. The roof leak hasn't been fully addressed, but that will have to wait. Lessons learned as we repaired plumbing leaks... always make sure all of the water valves (including the shower!) are open before shutting down the system for the winter!
2006-07-28: Bedroom #1 renovations. The floor is not level and the walls not straight, but we actually now have walls, floors and electric so thats something! Also, I moved my woodshop stereo to the cottage so we can now at least have some music to listen to while working. Other items that have been brought over include a 1850's oak barn beam to be used as a fireplace mantel and an industrial strength vacuum that comes in handy. The roof leak (I hope) has also been addressed; we'll see if it holds after the next storm.
2005-09-04: labor day fishing and canoe photos are now online. We didn't really catch anything but had a great time trying. The lake rose approx. 2" from all of the rocks Alex tossed in there :) Most of the home work done this time was electrical in nature. That said, we now have the washer and dryer finally hooked up.
2005-08-14: New renovation photos are now online. Furniture, shelves and painted walls! I spoke too literally when I mentioned we had running water... we seem to have a pretty bad leak! Nevertheless, its starting to come together!
2004-10-02: New renovation photos are now online. It's a bit dusty, but the kitchen is looking great and we now have a working toilet and running water!
2003-11: Original Survey photos of the house. Not designed to be pretty, but rather capture various characteristics of the house.
